Water as extinguishing medium is not new. However, spraying water droplets under pressure is a new technique that is can provide extremely efficient extinguishing results. The extinguishing effect is produced because the vaporized water is almost immediately transformed into steam, whereby the energy of the fire is absorbed. Correctly dimensioned and distributed water droplets provide very fast extinguishing with a minimum amount of water, thus limiting smoke and water damage to a minimum.
